Homework is due every Friday!
Weekly Homework Sheets:
Homework reinforces what is learned at school and instills good work habits and responsibility. Room 9 students are expected to complete a small amount of written work (skill practice), in addition to individualized work on I-ready of 20 minutes of both Language Arts and Mathematics per week.
Students that complete their homework and make positive choices at school will participate in Fun Friday each week!
Blue Homework Folders will be sent home each Friday with the next week's homework packet in it. A Weekly Homework Sheet will be included that outlines the homework that should be done each night of the week (Monday - Thursday). This sheet also lists important classroom and school wide events and any necessary instructor notes.
Please read the Weekly Homework Sheet regularly. In addition, please support your child in completing his/her homework and indicate when each assignment is complete. A minimum of 20 minutes per night of reading is recommended. This can include independent reading, partner reading, and parent-to-child reading.
The Blue Homework Folder Homework is sent home over the weekend to allow extra time as needed. However, nightly work on each daily assignment is preferred, in order to reinforce class concepts as they are taught.
