Class Newsletter & Homework
Homework reinforces what is learned at school and instills good work habits. Assignments reflect work that they are learning in class, so they should be able to recognize the material.
Children should work on written homework for no more than 30 minutes each night, Monday through Thursday. This time includes reading for 20 minutes each night.
Homework folders are sent home on Mondays and are to come back on Friday. Our class does not have homework on weekends (although students should continue to read at least 20 minutes each day), so that students have time to spend with family and friends.
If you feel that your child is spending too much or too little time on their assignments, please let me know so I can work with your child toward a solution. Please work with your child to stay on top of long-term projects.
