Homework Policy

Homework will be sent home as a packet for the week.  Packets are sent home Monday in the homework folder. You will find a "Homework Assignment" sheet attached.  Please look over this sheet carefully as it will tell you the week's assignments and any special events that may be taking place during the week.

Please check your child's homework each night for accuracy and understanding.  Students should do each night's assignment only—not the whole packet in one night.  Please sign the "Assignment" sheet and return the homework folder on Friday.  Make sure that your child's name is at the top of each page.

A. Each afternoon or in the evening students should read, or be read to, or both for a minimum of twenty minutes.  This is a vital extension of our school day that will build reading skills tremendously.

B. Students will typically work on math activities on Mondays and Tuesdays.  Language Arts, Science, or Social Studies activities will be assigned for Wednesdays and Thursdays.  There will also be an occasional long-term project that may need to be attended to over several days or weeks.

Please turn in all homework on Friday morning so that I can correct and return it in Monday's homework packet.
